5k Knight Training - 5k Training Join Stoughton resident Beth Federico in our Once a Knight, Always a Knight 5k training!*please note this program will be held on Sundays, however the first session will be saturday the 30th due to the holiday.*Mileage can be adjusted according to various running experience levels.*Each session will be 45-60 minutes.*Appropriate for all fitness levels.*First time runners up to experienced runners will benefit from information provided in program.*Waiver required for participation.*Includes mobility, nutrition guidance, and appropriate weekly distance progression with cross training suggestions.*Friendly, non-competitive.Each session will begin with a brief coaching discussion, followed by mobility and stretching and run/walk workout.Week 1: Learn effective and safe form to preserve energy. Address common running mistakes. Discuss proper footwear (will provide Marathon Sports coupons) & how to dress for weather conditions.Week 2: Reinforce week 1. Discuss pre run fueling.Week 3: Reinforce week 1 & 2. Discuss cross training. Week 4: Reinforce weeks 1-3. Discuss hydration, pre, during and post-run.Week 5: Reinforce weeks 1-4. Discuss pacing & course preparation. Week 6: Reinforce weeks 1-5. Last minute questions.Please note: Refunds or credits will not be issued within 24 business hours of the program start time, and programs will not be pro-rated for missed sessions. Participants may be eligible for a refund or account credit on a case by case basis prior to the first day of a program and is not guaranteed. Any approved cancellations resulting in a refund will incur a 5% cancellation fee, unless the cancellation of the program is initiated by the Recreation Department. In the event that the minimum registration requirement is not met, the program will be canceled. In such instances, participants will receive a full refund, and notification of the cancellation will be sent via email.
