Lifeguards will be on duty every day beginning June 25th-August 15th from 10 AM-5 PM. Entering the beachfront at any other time or date is considered trespassing. Please note children must be accompanied by an adult at ALL times.
STARTING JUNE 25th, all season passes must be purchased at the pond or at the Rec office (there will be no online purchasing beginning Friday 6/25). If you purchased a pass online prior to 6/25 but have not picked it up yet, passes can be picked up at the pond during guarded hours (they will no longer be available for pick up at the office). Day passes can be purchased at the gate.
Ames Long Pond, located on Highland Street on the Stoughton/Easton border is the location for the Town's supervised swimming program. Significantly removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown, the beach is located in a distinctly country setting. Bordered by shade trees, the beach area is a welcoming spot to beat the heat, especially for families with young
children and senior citizens. Amenities include public bathrooms and a dock system. Water quality is tested weekly during the months of July and August.
